Welcome to my website
I enjoy coming up with some notion of a thing, shaping it as best as I can, and watching the effects of my actions transform into something perceptible. Feeding descriptions and instructions to computers is usually effective for developing things, so I have spent plenty of time working with them.
You might have guessed it by now, but this website is one of those things. The possibility of a thing I made being useful or enjoyable to others motivates me to work on them. I hope this website becomes a thing that collects things I feel like sharing, so I'll do my best to make your time here enjoyable or useful.
What prompted me to start this website
Back in early 2024 in the search of being capable of actually making useful things, I stopped orbiting the abstract concepts within mathematics and computer science and opted to learn some down to earth front-end web development (it felt like every practical piece of software had to be a website to some degree). I learned TypeScript and Bootstrap and started playing with the idea that I was actually able to create modern looking websites (lmao). In search of the shiny and new tech stack I got hooked on the idea that the future of all software was going to be single-page-application progressive-web-apps so I picked up Angular, Tailwind and learned some .Net back-end development.
Anyways, it seems that keeping your dependencies as lean as possible and being in control of as much as you can within your software is not deemed as such a bewildering and antiquated idea anymore (it has even been dubbed Vanilla web development by some people lately) so I'm happily learning the tricks of the modern-looking frameworkless web development now while I work on my C projects on my free time.
Is this AI slop?
I would not claim it to be my thing if that were the case. Everything posted here was slowly and deliberately typed into my trusty Vim editor. If my shitty prose or questionable sense of graphic design made you think that, I would be interested in knowing why.
